Went back on the Anchor when the current started to run, and caught for the rest of the day. Keith brought his two young sons out for their first Blue fish trip today, by the end of the day, the boys were tired!!
Set up this morning on a nice reading of fish, we were on the end of the tide, no current but we still managed a pick at the Blues. Made a few moves only to find a couple fish here and there, decided to fight the current and put the weight on, glad we did as the bite got hot for the rest of the day!
We did some jigging and Shad fishing today only because a few fish had been rolling on top and we thought the Bass bite would be on. The run of Bass we normally see coming up the beach this time of year hasn't even started with the exception of a few fish being trolled over the weekend.
We took a little ride, got set up and waited for a bite, as the clock ticked and the current slowed I knew this wasn't going to happen and that area isn't ready yet. I choose to fish on the Anchor and chunk today rather than drifting and having to constantly move, keeping the fish around the boat.
