Still some nice fish around just not the good bite we had last week. Capt. Dan will be Striped Bass fishing Monday,Tuesday and Wednesday nights starting this week.
Some tough conditions to start out the day but we managed to slug away on keeper fish. Bait worked well and a couple guys did fish with the bucktails all day to catch their keep.
Saturday's Report So much nicer to fish when the wind isn't honking against the tide as today was one of the top ten!3 pounds, Iris had 4 up to 6 pounds in the cooler, a young man fishing in the stern had 4 great fish including his second place 7 pounder (just loosing to Artie) by 3 ounces!!
Had some very nice keepers on the first 4 drifts (including) Jerry's pool fish at 8 1 4 pounds. High hook had 4 nice fish, Dave and his son who is home on leave had 4 nice fish in the box.
The upcoming week looks great weather wise and the cooler temps coming our way should give us that fall fishing we have been waiting for, so come on down. Capt. Dan has been doing an excellent job at night on the Porgy and Croaker's the past week.
Worked the throttles all morning to keep the boat some what straight, and slugged away on some very nice keepers. Vinny started the day off with a nice 5 pound fish followed by a couple more keepers.
Not the best conditions once again to start the day today. Dave Bowen, Columbia and Capt. Ron Sr. lead the way with their limit on fish up to 5 1 2 pounds.
Spent the morning working some snags and pieces of bottom, had little to no drift and just picked away on shorts and some keepers. Took a ride back to catch the change of tide and glad we did as the last two drifts produced some beautiful Fluke before it got too fast!
