Good conditions with an incoming tide and light easterly breeze had the bite turned on right from the start today!Doc, Anchor Joe, Eddie, Richie, Eddie and several other Monday regs made their first trip today to be rewarded with a very good bite on fish up to 20 lbs!!
Monday Reg Don, lead the way with 6 fish followed by a new comber to the Fishermen with 5. Capt. Dan had a pick of fish last night for his second trip of the season, ending up the night with 18 keepers and a bunch of shorts.
Bunch of shorts and some keepers to start the day with Dick and Bill having the hot hand with 7 and 6 fish each. Richie and the boy's from Staten Island worked their magic, despite not being on their own boat with a couple nice fish in the box.
Had all the positive signs on the way out this morning, Plenty of bait, water temp was up another 2 degrees to 53 and some nice readings to anchor on. Got set up on some nice readings once again, caught a couple keepers and a handful of shorts that was it.
Capt. Dan will start night fishing this Friday and every night there after from 6 30pm til 11 30pm, Sunday will be an earlier trip from 3 30pm till 9 30pm. Capt. Ron Sunday, 14 April 2013 15 36 Written by Capt Ron
