Wasn't really good enough so we went into search mode looking for a better bite with some bass. Ran way to the West where we had good fishing over the weekend. .No bites, No readings a desert to say the least. At 2 30, I decided to give it one last shot and took another ride to a whole new area.
Good action once again, as we Drifted all day. Bait, Jigs and Top-water plugs works the best. Just a note, if you plan on using Plugs please replace the treble hooks with Singles, the trebles tie up the nets and are pretty dangerous on the boat. Pool fish went to a 15 pound Bass. The PA boys put on a clinic fishing in the bow with non-stop action for their first time out this season. Sorry guys, but like a jack-ass, I deleted the wrong folder of pics for today!!
Seems the Blues have taken over the bay, not that that's a bad thing but it makes it tough to get to the Bass. Capt. Dan found action last night on Bass and Blues, seems things are starting to settle up where he can put his customers on the meat! Night trips sail Monday-Saturday 6 30pm till 11 30pm and Sunday Afternoons 3 30pm till 9 00pm Thanks for checking in, Capt. RonShare Friday, 08 May 2015 16 57 Written by Capt Ron
Yes, Live lining produces bigger fish, the only boats doing that are the one's with 2 to 6 customers, even at that, how many 43 inch fish are being caught Customers had a good time with the action and many fish went home.
FISHERMEN Weekend Fishing Report. . Tough fishing to say the least the past couple of days. .Saturday started out with a shot of Bigger fish up to 31 pounds, landed 4 and popped off 4 more, caught a few more shorts then went into search mode the rest of the day. Had a couple shots of shorts, a few keepers with most of the bigger fish getting away once again. frustrating to see with a tough bite as it is. Blue fish starting to show up so hopefully those big males won't be far behind.
Chef Sam and crew had several beauties in the cooler including the pool fish at 15 pounds. Not many readings any where we looked today, maybe the threat of some weather pushed them further in the back, who knows.
A pick of shorts with some keepers mixed in. .Hung in there till the change of tide when the bigger fish bit yesterday, didn't catch the big ones but we did manage a couple more keepers and a bunch of shorts in overtime. Windy tomorrow again but we will be shaping up. Dan starts night fishing tomorrow night 6 30pm till 11 30pm. Capt.
Made a quick drop in the bait, no bites, I think it was too deep and the water temp was 49 degrees. Moved to some shallow water and found a few marks. Picked on the Shorts for awhile, all on the outgoing. Tom Krako landed the first keeper of the season taking his first pool after a LONG winter. Water temp 51-52 degrees.
