Over Under - Viewing Report 2004-05-03 - 3 days of Charter Fishing at Cat Island The crew of the Over Under hosted George Poveromo and Ray McConnell for 3 days of Fishing at Cat Island this past weekend. One small blue, weighing about 150 was released on day 2, and shortly thereafter a much larger fish was hooked up, only to have the hook pull.
Capt. Pete Fischer had the Sid Miller group out for a weekend of fishing at Cat Island this past week. This week the Over Under will be hosting George Poveromo, from ESPN outdoors, for 3 days fishing out of Hawks Nest on Cat Island.
Over at Rum Cay, nice sized yellowfin tuna, up to 60 's are being taken and pods of white marlin are showing up in the spread. Capt. Pete put a mix of nice sized tuna, wahoo, and dolphin in the boat on the troll and dropped for a couple 30 grouper on the NE Point at Rum Cay over this past weekend.
Dolphin seem to be everywhere, wahoo are still around, although not in the numbers they were a month ago and the birds are starting to give away the schools of Yellowfin tuna passing through the area. Captain Pete had the crew in good action, boating 1 wahoo, releasing 8 dolphin and many small tuna, while keeping a couple of 25-30 yellowfin for dinner (all in 1 2 a day of fishing).
The group fished the North end of San Salvador, all 3 days, targeting Wahoo exclusively . The fishing had been a bit slow over at Rum the previous two days, so the crew and guests were pleased as Day 1 produced 7 wahoo on 11 bites.

The rest of the afternoon and next morning at rum were slow in on the edge, and the group headed home Monday afternoon, while Capt. Pete ran the boat over to San Salvador where it will be fishing the next 3-4 days for giant wahoo.
Over Under - Viewing Report 2004-01-23 - All time high at Cat Island - Bahamas Fishing Report Fishing at the tail end of last week was at a high point over at Cat Island, with wahoo around in good numbers and tuna being taken here and there. On Wednesday and Thursday a few boats got out to the fishing grounds, but for the most part, the fishing was slow.
